Portal & Integration
Intelligent Intranet offers much more than portal functionality – and in a way that is easy to setup and use. None of the portal hype, but robust, pragmatic and cost effective functionality.
- A Gateway to all your Web Applications. The flexibility of Intelligent Intranet allows you to seamless link to any http based web, java or XML application from the home page or any navigational level. This means you can buy a third party web-enabled software and utilise it simply by linking it to one of the Intelligent Intranet sections, or you can develop web based applications in-house and seamlessly integrate then into Intelligent Intranet. You could also add any of the Smart Media modules either 'off the shelf' or as tailored bespoke solutions to meet your requirements.
- Unified access for legacy applications. Launch applications even if they are not web enabled, such as Word or any client applications such as Oracle or VB programmes. Use this for document templates, and you can make it easy for users to always use the standard corporate templates. In addition, you have all the controls of user groups and access rights to determine who can launch which applications without having to involve technical experts.
- Build customised templates for presenting data from legacy file based systems or databases.
- Integrate data lookups and data export inside your forms and workflows.
- Launching of local and server applications Finally a tool that allows you to build a personalised desktop whilst maintaining absolute standardisation on the windows desktop.
- Incorporate vital business statistics onto the intranet dashboard - personalised to each business unit or department or even down to individual job roles. XML widgets let you integrate the information from datawarehouse and financial systems. Sales performance, crime statistics, open help desk calls, customer retention … whatever your business needs.
- Bring in XML newsfeeds and Intelligent Intranet will automatically archive and index them for future reference.
- Internet access from within the intranet. In many situations, call centres, manufacturing and retail for example, not all users can be given Internet access. However, sometimes there are certain sites that are important for all to access – Intelligent Intranet makes it easy to control a list of allowed Internet sites and make them available via the intranet. So no complicated network products required.
- Single Sign-on – Whether you wish to base your single sign-on on Active Directory, LDAP or SiteMinder, Intelligent Intranet helps you to manage the access. You can even export users and user groups from Intelligent Intranet to your other applications via XML API.
